life

Life on its own is a battle field, where what comes to you may not be in your power to control but what happens within you is totally within your control. You can choose to be at war with yourself or to be at peace. "Peace is not merely the absence of war, it is the presence of Justice." - Jane Addams. Are you at peace with yourself. Are you just to yourself. If you have put in the work but yet to get the expected result, do yourself some justice and be at peace with yourself. You may not be able to stop or control the situation or circumstances around, but it is also possible to find peace and be at peace with yourself. Make peace from your past. Make peace with your family, make peace for your sake. You have a right to peace. You can be at peace in the midst of the storms of life. Worry and anxiety are silent killers but have no power over the man who is at peace with himself. Life is not supposed to be a competition, do your part, run your own race, follow your time and

OVERNIGHT SUCCESS IS A MIRAGE.

OVERNIGHT SUCCESS IS A MIRAGE. Growing up, I had a lot of dreams but I hadn't any idea to get it started. Even when I knew how to get started, I had no audacity to intentionally get started. I had a lot of fears and doubts. I knew I had great dreams but the inner strength to carry it out, I lacked. The ability to sacrifice my time, efforts, peace and cruising moments to achieve successes I admire, I lacked. Until I embarked on the journey of self realization . Until I took the decision to invest quality moments and resources on myself. I told me "Overnight success is just but fantasy." Thus, I chose to pay the price. The price of burning midnight candles. The price of introspection to unveil who I am. The journey to self-realization helped me to know myself and equally empowered me to hike away from my little deaths(fears) that had for long kept me in total obliteration. I was once a girl who had no future ambition, no skills, and no interests at all. I whittled away lik

THIS YEAR I WAS TEMPTED TO COMMIT SUCIDE. Due to some reasons , i couldn't take life any more see what exactly i did Did i actually comit the sucide or not? . . . . I know that sounds shocking. I was also surprised I had the thought. A good friend and mentor confided in me he had the same thoughts too. == If you cannot be anything, at least be kind with your words. == I recount an experience I had while in junior secondary school. I often came top of my class with parallel A’s. (My classmates are seeing this post, so I can’t lie ) After collecting my result one particular term, I went straight to my friends house to celebrate my win once again. Without anybody’s comment I knew I had put up a superlative performance, but my friends elder brother picked up my result, looked at it and smiled then uttered these words; “Secondary School is cheap, wait till you get to the university” What! You mean that’s all this dude had to say about my result. No na If you cannot be anything, at l

Nigerian govt gives fresh update on JOHESU strike

Image
Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 has appealed to the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) to call off the strike as the country needs them now amid the COVID-19 pandemic. He said that the Federal Government would continue to do its best to push through the negotiations with the JOHESU to resolve all issues and call its members back to work. Mustapha stated this at the daily briefing of the task force on Thursday in Abuja. “Let me once again send a strong appeal to all health workers particularly, JOHESU members, that the nation can ill-afford any further disruption to its health systems,” Mustapha said. “The on-going strike has been very costly in terms of human lives, but such losses can be avoided. “Government shall continue to do its best to push through the negotiations with the unions, and hopefully, reason shall prevail.our correspondent   recalls that the FG had provided   an upd

The Ebonyi State Government has announced that it will re-open schools in the state on Oct. 5, 2020, with the exception of kindergarten and crèches. The Commissioner for Education, Onyebuchi Chima, announced the plan on Thursday while briefing newsmen at the end of the state’s Executive Council meeting in Abakaliki. Chima described the executive council meeting as a “good one’’ for the state ministry of education as it approved the memo from the ministry for the re-opening of schools. “The resumption will be for the primary, secondary and tertiary levels of education as academic activities will be ‘staggered’ according to the ministry’s recommendation. “This means that there will be two sections for schools: morning and afternoon sessions with the morning sessions starting from 8 .a.m to 12 p.m., while the afternoon will start from 12.15 p.m. to 4.p.m. “The junior primary section: 1–3 and junior secondary 1-3 classes will have their sessions in the morning, while the senior primary:
