25-year-old dies of COVID-19 in Lagos

The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, has announced another COVID-19 related death, involving a 25-year-old male patient.
Abayomi on his Twitter page on Thursday said the deceased at the time of admission at the state isolation facility was in a state of severe breathlessness.
“We regret to announce additional COVID-19 related death involving a 25-year-old male, who at the time of admission, was in a state of severe breathlessness.
“Total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Lagos is now 20,” he said.
Abayomi advised residents to remain committed to observing necessary precautionary measures to stop COVID-19 infection.
He urged residents to be vigilant and report any concern about COVID-19 infection in their communities.

Ebonyi govt announces date for full reopening of schools

  The Ebonyi State Government has announced that it will re-open schools in the state on Oct. 5, 2020, with the exception of kindergarten and crèches. The Commissioner for Education, Onyebuchi Chima, announced the plan on Thursday while briefing newsmen at the end of the state’s Executive Council meeting in Abakaliki.
