OVERNIGHT SUCCESS IS A MIRAGE.

Growing up, I had a lot of dreams but I hadn't any idea to get it started. Even when I knew how to get started, I had no audacity to intentionally get started.

I had a lot of fears and doubts.

I knew I had great dreams but the inner strength to carry it out, I lacked.

The ability to sacrifice my time, efforts, peace and cruising moments to achieve successes I admire, I lacked.

Until I embarked on the journey of self realization. Until I took the decision to invest quality moments and resources on myself.

I told me "Overnight success is just but fantasy."

Thus, I chose to pay the price.

The price of burning midnight candles.

The price of introspection to unveil who I am.

The journey to self-realization helped me to know myself and equally empowered me to hike away from my little deaths(fears) that had for long kept me in total obliteration.

I was once a girl who had no future ambition, no skills, and no interests at all.

I whittled away like the dust in Sahara desert. Multiple times, I wished to commit suicide because I felt unloved and irrelevant.

I had rough beginnings, lot of tears, struggles, depressions as I lost my Dad, battled with my health, wrote high school examination(WAEC) four times despite my intelligence.

I was once stuck in the mud but rose on, clutched to my inner promptings consciously and tenaciously, paid prices despite the discomforts and challenges until I found a stable trajectory that has catalysed into a cynosure of a fragile strong lady who has and is touching millions of persons to find their true identity and fulfill destiny.

Today, I can boldly declare that from that year of self realization till now, millions have been affected by my works, be it inspirational essays, Movie Scripts, Reviews, Poems, Fictions, non Fictions and articles.

I am so crazy about my towering dreams. I am swimming faster to the depths of my dreams. Despite the hurricane warnings, the sea offshore drags, the voyages, the dangerous storms and the oceanic wave level rising, I go to the deepest coast because I am aware that Overnight success is a MIRAGE.

If I'm not having an exclusive coaching session, I am having a general class, editing a manuscript, researching, reading, writing, or thinking of another idea to hit a million naira in days.

Dear Reader,

You can develop yourself if only you are willing to pay the price.

Some of us want to succeed but do not want to pay the price or find it difficult to invest in ourselves.

Pathetic!

You could readily buy clothes, junks, shoes or phones to feed your ego not necessarily to cover your nakedness but you can’t spare little amount of money to sign up for a course or to buy a book to learn new skills that would rebrand and sharpen your life to become relevant in life.

Some time back, I was oppotuned to speak to a group of entrepreneurs.

I said to them.

"I don’t preach shabby dressing because I dress well too, but you have to know that your self-worth has nothing much to do with your dressing but has all to do with what you can offer."

You could download lots of movies from YouTube channels, subscribe to Netflix channel just for a particular movie or movie star you want to watch, but it has never occurred to you that those movie stars you kill yourself to watch have found purpose for their life, they have discovered themselves that is the reason you could watch them, act. If they hadn’t discovered their purpose, potentials to join the movie industry, you would not have known them.

Yes...

The comedy skits you subscribe to every week to watch and laugh away your sorrow has actually added nothing to your life per say, but in reality has taken away something; time and (data)money.

Listen, sit down, think and reflect on your life journey so far.

YOU ARE CARRYING DESTINIES.

TIME IS SHORT, BE INTENTIONAL, BE INTENTIONAL I SAY AGAIN.

Be purpose filled and driven.

Do not just live your life randomly; a life that everything goes.

Get a life map.

Personally, I have a map of my status for the next ten years. Surprised? I AM NOT CONFUSED. I know what I want and I am going for it with full focus and determination.

I am not giving up neither am I leaving any stone unturned, until I breathe my desires.

DEVELOP YOURSELF, IF IT MEANS PAYING TO SIGN UP FOR COURSES, COACHING/MENTORING SESSION, DO IT/ YOU CAN NEVER COMPARE THE VALUES YOU WOULD GET TO THE MONEY SPENT.

I told a friend of how I paid for a course worth #20,000 and I was viewed like a wierd being.

But guess what?

Within few days, I gained the money spent and had lots of gain for SMALL ME.

You want success but you don't want to work for it.

Some of us so much like free things like heaven.

If the class is not free, I am not in.

If the book is not free, I'm not reading.

Yet you send me lots of messages of how you want to be like me, how you want to achieve what I have, how you want to pull down the walls of obstacles flat and become a CHAMPION.

Nah! I am spending a lot of money, time and comforts to be here.

The truth is, I even feel I have not started.

For me, I am still taking baby steps to fulfilling my blatant dreams.

When I start, the world would be very little to contain the GREATNESS.

Dear, do Some Introspection.

In today’s fast-paced, highly-connected and technologically-advanced environment, we often fail to look within ourselves.

When was the last time you sat at an eatery shop or a place and just reflected without having an itch to look at your phone? 85 percent of us don’t know how to do this, but this is an artform that needs to be rekindled, especially when you are trying to discover yourself.

Rumminage through your mind, ask yourself questions.

Introspection is itself a gift that many of us lack. We all have this ability, but our obsession with distractions has diminished the skill to scrutinise ourselves.

Let him that has an ear, hear what sparky has said.

Remember, OVERNIGHT SUCCESS IS A MIRAGE.

To your success.

 There are opportunities embedded in your difficult times.

You might be passing through hell right now. You might feel like giving up on your dreams or life. But may I tell you that your tough or difficult time can never last. Your difficult time has a very short expiry date.

But have you ever thought about the opportunities embedded in your difficult time?

*Your difficult time gives you the opportunity to know the stuff you are made of. What are you made of? Are you made of wood, gold, etc?

Difficulties reveals your character and texture. It also reveals part of your character that needs to be worked on.

*Your difficult time gives you the opportunity to know how strong your stuff is made of. If you fail in the days of difficulties, then your strength is small, or you have an inferior stuff.

*Your difficult time gives you the opportunity to do things better.

Difficulties mastered are opportunities won. So, allow your difficult time to push you to the place of research, so you can come out of your difficult time as a better person.

Your difficult time is a stepping stone to greater exploit.

Dear reader,that difficult time you are passing through is not permanent. Learn from them and turn those difficulties into stepping stones to becoming a better you.
