Yes, they still exist, but in the new and glamorous age of online marketing it seems to always be the last thing mentioned among st the millions of pretty offers being thrown at prospective clients. APC crisis: Buhari asked to summon NEC emergency meeting A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr. Yekini Nabena, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to call for the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) emergency meeting to address the leadership crisis rocking the party. Insecurity: Northern governors take new action  Northern Governors Forum (NGF) has set up a committee to engage local vigilantes, hunters and community groups on intelligence gathering, rapid response and sustained surveillance in the region. The Chairman and Plateau Governor, Simon Lalong, said this in a statement by his spokesmen, Makut Macham on Friday in Jos. The action was part of the resolutions of the Northern Governors during a teleconference meeting held on Thursday. Chaired by Lalong, the committee would also consult with traditional, religious and community leaders in the North, to strengthen their involvement in tackling security challenges. A standing committee on security, headed by Kogi Governor, Yahaya Bello, was also set up to foster synergy between security agencies in the enforcement of security measures in the region. Edo: Obaseki officially joins PDP The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has officially joined the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. PDP in a statement issued via its official Twitter page confirmed Obaseki’s defection. COVID-19: Cases will rise, may overwhelm health infrastructures – Nigerian Govt issues strong warning The Federal Government has warned Nigerians that the figures of COVID-19 cases in the country will rise and overwhelm the health infrastructures. It said people are becoming careless following the lifting of lockdown, adding that it (the government) is no longer a frontliner in the fight against the virus. The Government said that it is now left for the citizens to determine whether Nigeria will reach its peak or not.
